We supply sortex-cleaned kabuli chickpeas in three commercial count grades — 44–46, 58–60 and 82–85 per 100g — direct from our processing facility in Chopda, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Ideal for hummus manufacturers, canned chickpea processors, European retailers and Middle East distributors.
Kabuli chickpeas are graded by count — the number of seeds per 100 grams. Lower count means larger individual seeds and commands a higher market price. We offer all three standard commercial grades:
44 / 46
Large Grade — Premium
The largest commercially available kabuli count. High visual appeal and buttery texture. Commands highest price per MT.
Best for: European retail bags, premium hummus brands, supermarket chains in UK, Spain, Italy.
58 / 60
Medium Grade — Standard
The most widely traded kabuli count globally. Balanced size and price make this the workhorse grade for most markets.
Best for: Middle East food processors, bulk hummus, canned chickpea factories, USA distributors.
82 / 85
Small Grade — Value
Smaller kabuli beans with strong flavour. Cost-effective for volume buyers and markets with price sensitivity.
Best for: Africa, Southeast Asia, value-segment retail, blending with other pulses.
India competes directly with Australia and Canada for kabuli chickpea exports. Indian kabuli offers several advantages depending on your market and requirements:
Freight Advantage
Shorter sea distance to Middle East, Africa and South Asia cuts freight costs versus Australian or Canadian origin — often by $30–60/MT.
Competitive FOB Pricing
Lower farm-gate costs and competitive processing margins allow Indian exporters to offer attractive prices, especially in mid-season.
Large Volume Availability
India produces 8–10 million MT of chickpeas annually. Large contract volumes are consistently available across seasons.
Multiple Count Grades
India offers all three commercial count grades (44/46, 58/60, 82/85) from a single origin — convenient for buyers who need multiple grades.
Sortex Cleaning Technology
Modern optical sorting at facilities like ours ensures visual quality comparable to Australian machine-cleaned lots.
Full Compliance Documentation
APEDA-registered exporters provide all international trade documents as standard — no extra complexity.
Hummus Production
The primary global use for kabuli chickpeas — blended with tahini, lemon and olive oil.
