Laxmi Agro Processors operates a full-scale grain processing facility at MIDC, Chopda, Jalgaon — processing chickpeas, maize, wheat, sorghum, pigeon peas and soybeans through multi-stage cleaning, rotary grading and Sortex optical color sorting. Every grain we sell is processed in our own plant — no outsourcing, no compromise.
When grain is harvested at the farm level in India, it arrives with a significant proportion of impurities: soil clods, stones, weed seeds, shrivelled grains, fungal-damaged kernels, straw fragments and dust. This raw grain does not meet domestic or export-quality standards.
A grain processing company like Laxmi Agro Processors takes this raw grain through a systematic series of mechanical and optical processes to remove all impurities and produce a clean, uniform, market-ready lot — meeting the specifications that domestic traders, food processors and international importers require.
The difference between a raw lot and a processed lot can be 2–4% purity gap and up to $40–80/MT in price realisation. Processing is not optional for export — it is the standard.
Raw grain first passes through a scalper or rotary drum screen that removes oversize impurities — straw, cob pieces, knotted weeds and large stones. An aspirator pulls off light chaff and dust using high-velocity airflow. This first stage typically removes 3–5% of the load as waste.
A gravity-based destoner uses vibration and air to separate stones and heavy clods from grain. Stones are denser and move uphill on the vibrating deck while grain moves downhill. Destoning is critical for food safety and downstream equipment protection — undestoned grain can damage colour sorter optics and injure consumers.
Grain passes through rotating cylindrical screens with precisely calibrated hole sizes. This separates grains into size grades (for chickpeas: 44/46, 58/60, 82/85 count) and removes undersize splits, broken grains and fine material. Each grade is collected and processed separately to maintain uniformity within the lot.
This is the most technically advanced stage. High-speed cameras inspect each grain in free-fall, detecting colour deviations — black spots, fungal discolouration, immature green seeds, insect-damaged grains and foreign material. Precision air jets eject defective grains in milliseconds. A dual-pass Sortex process achieves 99%+ purity on most commodities.
Processed grain is weighed into 25 kg, 50 kg or 1 MT bags using calibrated weighing scales. Each bag is labelled with commodity name, grade, lot number, net weight and origin. Sealed bags are stacked on pallets and staged for container loading or domestic dispatch.
Representative samples from each lot are submitted to an NABL-accredited laboratory for purity, moisture, admixture and aflatoxin analysis. The test report accompanies the shipment along with phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate and certificate of origin.

Our processing plant is located at MIDC Chopda, Dist. Jalgaon — a purpose-built industrial zone with road and rail connectivity. Chopda sits in the heart of Maharashtra's Khandesh region, one of India's most productive chickpea and soybean growing zones.
Processing in an MIDC facility ensures structured working conditions, reliable three-phase power supply, clean water access and compliant infrastructure — all of which contribute to consistent output quality.
We have multiple processing lines running in parallel, allowing us to handle large contract volumes within tight delivery windows.
In-House Processing — Full Control
No third-party processing. Every step from intake to container loading happens in our own facility. This means consistent quality and traceability across all lots.
Sortex Technology
Optical color sorting removes discoloured, fungal and defective grains that manual grading cannot catch — producing visually uniform, premium-grade output.
Direct Farm Procurement
We buy directly from farmers and farmer-producer organisations (FPOs) in Jalgaon and Vidarbha — maintaining traceability to farm level and eliminating unnecessary trader markups.
Export-Ready Documentation
APEDA registration, NABL-accredited lab testing, phytosanitary and fumigation certificates — all provided as standard for every export shipment.
Whether you are a domestic trader or overseas importer, we can supply cleaned, graded and Sortex-sorted grain in container loads. Get in touch for pricing and availability.
